Adult Therapy
Life presents many opportunities for excitement, joy and love. Unfortunately, there are times when we become mired in negative emotions, overwhelming obligations or unexpected stressors that prevent us from enjoying all that life has to offer. Old patterns of coping, while helpful at other times in our lives, may no longer fit with current demands or circumstances. At these times, involvement in therapy helps to develop new strategies and new ways of looking at the world to feel better and to more fully enjoy life’s opportunities.
Dr. Anderer’s practice focuses on work with adults struggling with:
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Eating Disorders
- Separation/Divorce
- Life transitions
Dr. Anderer works from an interpersonal dynamic perspective, focusing on how people view themselves and the world. By exploring the strategies a person has used in the past and whether these continue to be successful, opportunities are created to incorporate new, more powerful and more relevant mechanisms for forming relationships, managing stress, and appreciating valued- and perhaps forgotten- aspects of who you are as a person.
